Midwest Chinese Ministries (MCM) exists to share the good news of Jesus Christ and serve the Chinese students and families at Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN. Purdue has over 6,000 internationals, the Chinese being greatest in number. We minister in many different ways to all, from infants to grandparents. Whether you are already a Christian or someone looking to learn more, we hope you'll join us.
MCM works together with local Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod congregations (including Redeemer) and other Christians to coordinate and run weekly, monthly, and yearly events. These events are only possible through the gifts of time and talents of our volunteers, local churches, and Christians like you. Sample events include:
Members of Redeemer have also helped by spending a short amount of time every 1-2 weeks chatting with a Chinese international as a "Conversation Partner." Or, they have volunteered to host a family or group of people for a holiday meal. MCM also meets in Redeemer for some of our weekly Bible studies.
